Easy Banana Nut Bread
Easy Banana Nut Bread
This banana nut bread is crazy easy - simple ingredients, no mixer needed. It’s a healthier homemade treat because it gets a lot of natural sweetness and moisture from real bananas, plus heart-healthy fats and protein from the walnuts. The orange zest gives it a light, fresh flavor so it tastes “bakery good” without needing frosting or extra sugar.
Preheat your oven
Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 5x9-inch loaf pan (or line with parchment paper for easy removal).Mash the bananas + mix in butter
In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth.
Stir in the melted butter until combined.Add sugar, egg, vanilla, and orange zest
Mix in the sugar.
Add the beaten egg and vanilla extract.
Stir in the orange zest until evenly mixed.Add flour, baking soda and salt
Mix the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl. Add the dry mix to the wet ingredients just until fully blended. Don’t overmix or the bread can turn dense.Fold in walnuts
Gently fold in the chopped walnuts.Bake
Pour batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (a few moist crumbs are fine, wet batter isn’t).Cool and slice
Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing. DOWNLOAD PDF RECIPIE
